The information below is provided as reference for those who have already registered. This service is provided by InfoTec Communications.
We welcome individuals wishing to become full financial members of AIPS. If you already have a Member of AIPS supporting your application, please let us know in the ensuing form.
We also welcome all renewing members for 2011.
Benefits include:
- Voting rights at our annual Annual General Meeting (including proxy votes, nomination of Directors, right to nominate as a Director)
- Invitations to events and discounts to any of our paid events
- Free annual subscription to AQ - Australian Quarterly
All members must agree to abide by the Memorandum and Articles of Association, as available on request.
The Institute is constituted under the provisions of the Corporations Law and is a Non-Profit Company Limited by Guarantee. If the company was wound up, the Memorandum of Association, clause 4, states:
"Every member of the Company undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Company in the event of its being wound up while he/she is a member, or within one year afterwards, for payment of the debts and liabilities of the Company contracted before he/she ceases to be a member, and the costs, charges and expenses of winding up the same and for the adjustment of the rights of the contributories among themselves, such amount as may be required, not exceeding two dollars ($2.00)."
If you register as a new member, your application will be formally approved at the next Board meeting of the Institute and you will be informed by letter. Should your application not be accepted for any reason by the Directors, your payment will be refunded and you will be informed via letter or email.
Please ensure that you provide your home address for the purposes of the Membership Register of the Institute alongside your preferred mailing address.
