Develop interview questions to probe into the skills/competencies and characteristics that relate to job success.

Session Summary
This full day interactive workshop with Jodi Adams MRCSA is essential learning for any consultant who undertakes interviews – regardless of experience level.

Traditional hiring methods focus on education, qualifications, credentials and elicit responses that address credentials, opinions and feeling. They rarely prompt the candidate to tell about actual job performance, experiences and accomplishments in specific circumstances.

Competency Based Behavioural interviews, on the other hand, are based on the idea that past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour. Prior to interview each position is assessed for the skills/competencies and characteristics that relate to job success.

Interview questions are developed to probe into these areas. All candidates are asked the same question and notes are taken in order to evaluate candidates.
