Session Summary
The RCSA Human Resource Consulting Certificate, delivered by RCSA is designed to provide essential knowledge of the recruitment & on-hire consultant’s role and the industry. The course is made up of these core learning modules:
• Introduction to recruitment consulting
• Strategic human resource management
• Recruitment consulting
• Recruitment and selection overview including the interview
structure
• Legal responsibilities
• Recruitment & selection process
In a changing industry where short-term success is based on your ability to sell, and long-term success on your ability to deliver, no recruitment & on-hire consultant can afford to guess their way through the myriad of complex legal, ethical and technical requirements of effective recruitment & on-hire consulting.
The Certificate is awarded on the basis of students gaining an understanding of the course through a two hour exam, which is to be completed within twelve months of completing the coursework. The Certificate is awarded subject to achieving 50% or more in the exam. Upon completing the course, you will be able to:
• Promote knowledge of the link between the role of recruitment
consultant and the HR issues faced by clients
• Identify recruitment consulting business issues
• Describe the recruitment and selection process
• Facilitate the transfer of learning to applied situations
• Facilitate an understanding of legal responsibilities
• Provide a platform for future development
About the Presenter
Myriam Heynen
Myriam Heynen is a qualified Human Resources Manager with 10 years experience as part of the management teams within a bank and then Fisher & Paykel’s manufacturing divisions.
With recruitment as the primary function of these roles, she has filled specialised technical and management positions, as well as designing and running assessment centres for factory employees. She also worked briefly as a consultant recruiting to the banking industry while on her OE in London.
For the last 6 years she has been independently contracting her services to a range of operations from small family businesses through to corporates, including 3 years administering the NZ RCSA office.
Passionate about imparting knowledge and recruitment as the building-block for sound HR practices, Myriam has been involved in the design and delivery of training in aspects of HR management and the recruitment industry for many years.
