RCSA Recruitment Consulting Certificate (PEARL)
Consisting of three comprehensive one day workshops, the RCSA Recruitment Consulting Certificate is the ultimate introductory training for new Recruiters.
The three one day workshops will be held over three consecutive days. Please see dates at the bottom of this page.
Workshop One: Introduction to Recruitment Consulting
This one day intensive workshop will bring your new consultant up to speed. Through group activities, role plays, case studies and practical exercises, participants will understand what is required to develop the strong foundation needed to be a successful recruiter. This workshop covers the essential areas of recruitment for both Temporary and Permanent consultants in industrial and commercial markets.
Participants with less than 6 months experience will benefit from the following content of the day; Telemarketing, Client Visits, Taking Job Briefs, Sourcing, Interviewing, Selecting, Presenting Candidates and the requirements to ensure the continuum of professional relationships. This workshop is about proven solutions and realistic approaches to the competitive and challenging world of recruitment - not text book theory.
Workshop Two: Interviewing Essentials
This one day workshop will dramatically improve the way your consultant interviews. It is suitable for both Temporary or Permanent consultants in either the Blue and White Collar industries with 0-24months experience.
Are candidates getting better at misleading consultants? Or are consultants not investing in the interviews? Learn how to develop the formula for fact-finding interviews and remove the guess work when screening or interviewing candidates. This workshop goes beyond the interview room into the client visit and the reference checking process. Participants will be shown professional techniques to question (Interview) the client more effectively, as well as increasing the quality of conversations with referees – enhancing the benefit of Reference Checking as a valuable sales tool. Remove the bias through effective questioning and uncover the true characteristics of the applicant, saving time and money!
Workshop Three: Sales and Marketing from the Desk
This one day Intensive workshop is designed to build the confidence and improve the effectiveness of sales and marketing practices immediately. The Recruitment Industry is consistently demanding consultants meet their targets and be ahead of the game. Through group activities, case studies, role plays and post workshop tools/exercises, participants will learn the techniques required to motivate and empower themselves.
This one day workshop covers the essential areas of sales and marketing for both Temporary and Permanent consultants in Blue and White Collar markets. Participants with less than 12 months experience in a professional will build on their existing or minimal experience.
"NEW" TRAINER CONSULTATION SERVICE AVAILABLE FOR MEMBERS
A teleconference call with the facilitator prior to and/or post attending the workshops is also available for purchase, in order to analyse the learning needs and feedback for the participant. This innovative service will now be offered for all member participants (or their managers) of this Certificate workshop to ensure all needs are met, with continued results beyond the training room and back to your office. With this tailored and personal consultation RCSA can now act as your own internal training department!

Meet the facilitator: Mia Ryan APRCSA
Mia has been associated with the Recruitment Industry for over 20 years. During this time she has held various roles including those of Permanent Consultant, Temporary Consultant and General Manager of Ryan Recruitment.
She has been described by her industry peers as an "'Expert in the management of volumne based temps" and is proud of her reputation in the local market place as someone who consistently has worked within the RCSA Guidelines, in terms of operating ethically and honestly. Mia understands and can relate to the very real challenges, pressures, and opportunties that present daily to Consultants.
Mia is now bringing her wealth of experience and knowledge of both the Industry and the many years she has spent training new recruits to the Industry in her role as RCSA trainer.
Mia is passionate about the courses on offer seeing them as essential tools in the Recruiters tool kit.
She is respected by her Industry colleagues and holds a position on the RCSA New Zealand Council, a position she has held for several years.

CPE Points
Attending this program entitles you to claim 25 CPE points. Completion of this course also entitles you to apply for Accredited Professional (APR) Membership with the RCSA (on completion of the RCSA Code for Professional Conduct online module). This is provided free of charge for the first 12 months to new Members.
