First established in 1932, AIPS aims to promote public understanding of and informed debate on important political, economic, social, cultural and scientific issues facing Australia. As an independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit organisation, our members continue to play an integral role in supporting and contributing to the wide range of AIPS activities.
Subscriptions and memberships are operated on a calendar year basis. Members and subscribers joining through the year will receive back issues from the current volume of AQ - Australian Quarterly.

Members also support the many activities of our Tall Poppy Campaign, which awards outstanding Australian scientists, and encourages younger generations to undertake further studies and careers in the sciences. AIPS members receive a year’s subscription to the flaghip publication,AQ: Australian Quarterly, which covers four issues in 2010. Members are also entitled to discounted entry to events run by AIPS, such as the annual Post-Budget Health Briefing delivered by the Minister for Health.
As a Member, you will be eligible to vote at the AIPS Annual General Meeting.
